YGG TV: Guild Advancement Program: Rewarding Guild Members’ Contributions and Achievements

In this episode of YGG TV, YGG Community Marketing Manager John Sedano talks about the Guild Advancement Program and how it provides value to the guild, the game and the players.

YGG TV, dubbed “the ESPN of web3 gaming,” is the latest online show produced by Yield Guild Games (YGG) where community members can tune in to learn more about blockchain gaming, discover the latest games, and stay up to date on activities in the web3 space. John Sedano, YGG’s Community Marketing Manager, spearheads the production of YGG TV episodes, which are released every Thursday at 9 p.m. SGT.

In this episode, John Sedano unveils the Guild Advancement Program (GAP) and shares how the achievement-driven community token distribution protocol is incentivizing active participation in 10 different blockchain games within the YGG network. Discover how this model recognizes guild members’ contribution and how that adds value to the whole YGG ecosystem.

Sedano (0:31): As a leader in this space, we at YGG have been working tirelessly to provide alternative opportunities for our community, despite 2022 being a slow year for blockchain games. Introducing the Guild Advancement Program, or better known as GAP. This is our in-house gamified rewards initiative that incentivizes the most active members of the community. Those who complete a certain set of achievements in the form of quests will be rewarded with Soulbound NFTs that carry YGG tokens that can be redeemed via the YGG dapp.

Simply put, our community members can earn rewards from participating in quests across different games in the YGG network. Previously, Axie Infinity rewarded its players with SLP tokens through daily tasks like playing a set number of games on a daily basis. So GAP is almost exactly the same, except that you have over 100 quests across over 10 games (as of date) that you can enjoy. The GAP is open to anyone whether you're from a different guild or not, as long as you have the YGG Guild Badge. Available quests can be accessed through the YGG website dashboard at yieldguild.io. We also have the YGG Reward Vaults where YGG token holders who have a Guild Badge can stake and earn rewards from our partner games. Gamifying the reward structure within a guild is a good way to keep members engaged. 

The way these product development features were designed gives value to all members involved in the guild, the game and most especially, the players. The guild benefits from actions of the players while players benefit from the game rewards won, and the game benefits from the new players in their economy.
