YGG Future of Work: The Foundation of Tomorrow Is AI
On a live FoW panel on X, YGG’s FallenCorpsez and AC chatted with FrodoBots’ Niresh Dravin and Ta-da co-founder Alex and CPO Marcelo to discuss AI’s impact on education and everyday efficiency.
YGG’s Future of Work (FoW) bounty quests from the Guild Advancement Program (GAP) have enabled community members to dip their toes in AI-related tasks focused on data collection, labeling, and more. With a growing need for human input in AI, FoW allows a new generation of gig workers to contribute to its development while uncovering decentralized earning opportunities. At the same time, community members receive valuable education, upskilling and preparing them for the future job market.
YGG Community Manager FallenCorpsez and AC from YGG Community Operations were recently joined by FrodoBots core team member Niresh Dravin, Ta-da co-founder and Head of Business Development Alex and Chief Product Officer Marcelo in an online FoW panel on X. The group discussed the importance of diversity in data collection to create unbiased AI. They also covered the need to train AI systems ethically, highlighting the technology’s potential to make life easier while also posing risks of misuse and conflict.
The following is an excerpt from the broadcast, where Marcelo shares how he envisions AI to improve everyday life by handling menial tasks and automating others. Niresh adds that AI has unlocked a big leap in education, making it easier for people to learn new skills without relying on extensive online searches or the guidance of a human instructor.

YGG FoW Panel x FrodoBots and Ta-da
Marcelo (44:57): I'm excited about how you can maximize your productivity and focus on what you want to do. We're still not there, but I can imagine a future where you wake up in the morning, and you don't even have to worry about, “Okay, what will I eat tomorrow?” Maybe there’s a robot, and my breakfast is ready, or my breakfast will be ready 30 minutes from now because groceries have been shopped, and I can focus on doing my workout.
If I had those 30 minutes, I wouldn't have had less sleep. That's just an example. I can meditate. I have more focus time. The AI knows I'm going to an event two weeks from now. My plane ticket is already booked. They know who will attend the event, so I may have a great outfit for when I'm on stage, and they know about my budget. Our lives can be much easier, and we’ll have quality time for important decision-making. We have more focused time for what matters during our days. That's what I'm super excited about.
On the downside, I hope we do it thoroughly and in the best way possible. I also don't want AIs being policed and being shot in the street because I may look like a criminal that needs to be shut down. That's just one example. Imagine using them for war or nuclear weapons. You get my point. We need to have a framework, or, as Alex mentioned, we need to know how AI is trained and ensure they are taught to be as responsible as possible. This is dramatic, but I'm optimistic about it, and I hope we don’t get there. We can focus on what AI can bring and how it can elevate our everyday lives.
FallenCorpsez (47:20): That's a big thing with the data being put into these models. There's data bias, right? That's been brought up quite a bit in the media, and depending on what data you feed any of these AIs, the AI can be just as biased as the data you put into it. If you put in biased data, it's gonna become a biased model. Niresh, what do you think? Are you excited about this kind of Jetsons world? That's what I heard when Marcelo was going on about the robots making your breakfast and everything.
Niresh (48:01): Yeah, I share a lot of the sentiments from Alex and Marcelo. In terms of what I'm most excited about, it’s something that we've already seen in the past two years: education. It has already made a huge shift. Before, if you wanted to ask a question, like how would you code something, you'd have to read multiple blogs. You'd have to scroll through tens or hundreds of pages on Google. You’d scratch your head for ages.
Most of this stuff is simple technical knowledge that, if you had a teacher next to you who could just show you exactly what this is supposed to do, you would learn immediately. That's one of the things I'm most excited about when it comes to AI. Thanks to AI, you don't need a person. This is a very replicable skill that ChatGPT and Gemini can both do for you now. That's one of the things I'm most excited about.
